Cellular respiration is a process by which ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) is produced the cells by use of biochemical energy. It takes place in the mitochondria of the cell.
There are 3 stages of cellular respiration.
They are the following stages:
Stage 1 - Glycolysis (in which glucose is converted in pyruvic acid).

Stage 2 - Citric acid cycle or Kreb's cycle.
