1. Tinder is a social search location based mobile app that facilitates communication between mutually interested users, allowing matched users to chat. Social Search is a behavior of retrieving and searching on a social searching engine that mainly searches user-generated content such as news, videos and images related search queries on social media like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Flickr.The social relationships could be in various forms. For example, in LinkedIn people search engine, the social relationships include social connections between searcher and each result, whether or not they are in the same industries, work for the same companies, belong the same social groups, and go the same schools, etc. The app is most commonly used as a dating app, but has branched out to provide more services.

2. Revenue for Tinder comes from the paid-for subscription service. In order to keep up the momentum and stay fresh in the dating market, Tinder is constantly changing its model and trying different features to become more customer-centric and monetize its value. Tinder ,was launched in 2012 by Match, which also owns OKCupid, PlentyOfFish, and HowAboutWe. Tinder boasts 9.6 million daily active users of which 583,000 paid members.

Web browser : Microsoft Internet Explorer is a frequent choice of software running on Microsoft Windows, which makes use of ActiveX controls, despite their vulnerabilities.

data : Tinder use your location service, Spotify and Instagram updates, photos and new accounts data.

Procedure :

The basic features offered by the app are listed below:

• Sign up / Login through Facebook
• Manage User profile and set discovery preferences
• Swipe to Like/Dislike a profile
• Real Time Chat feature when both users like each other profile
• Notifications/Feeds

prople : The user has the option of liking or disliking a profile, if liked the other individual is notified and thus a chat is initiated between the two. This app works mainly on swiping motions, where a user swipes right for a potentially liked profile and swipes left to move to the next one.

b. Software :

website using jQuery, node.js & nginex but this is just their corporate site - not much is going here

Backend / API : node.js, elasticsearch, mongodb, redis - all on AWS . They are also looking for a Security Specialist knowledgeable in Python & bash scripting.

Apps (iOS / Android) : not sure, I imagine native apps using Swift/Object C & Java.
