I do not agree with philosophers who say that we have basic intuitions about basic ethical values. This would mean that children develop their ethical standpoint as they grow in a particular environment. Children learn things as they observe, imitate and adopt certain behaviors, values and beliefs that are specific to their own culture. Thus, children develop their ethical values depending on the society where they live in as it would differ from one place to the other. Although as human beings, people have the capability to understand what’s right and wrong, the values they acquire would largely depend n the type of culture they live in, their parents and their education.
