Bases on Hariss' opinion, there are various instances where Individuals and groups are blinded by religious faith, that they fail to accept the obvious and realize the reality of life. However, not all situations are similar to these, and religion and reality can go hand in hand as well. The notions of God and afterlife being empty and preposterous is based upon one's subjective view and is not applicable to Individuals who believe in a particular faith. The idea of afterlife is what one makes of it, and what one believes it to be.
