Besides the religious beliefs surrounding death and dying that we have reviewed, are there any other beliefs or practices that you think have shaped our cultural perceptions (including your own) of an afterlife?
What relationship, connection, or innovations do you see between these influences and the religions we have reviewed?

Death and dying are often associated with elaborate or short rituals and practices apart from the religious view given regarding the death. The beliefs and practices around death come as a result of society collective view with a ritual that views death as embodying a philosophy or a metaphysical view regarding the human soul. In the eastern part of the world the body is burnt after dying as a result that of the perception that the soul is to be freed from the body.
There are relationship and connections regarding the body of a death as in the way Hinduism conception of the body and soul. It is belief that the soul is to travel to a place after death and for the same reason, the soul has to be relieved ffrom the body. Like also in other religions of china, the death rituals and practices is given by the perception of the death.
