Specific weight = density * g

Specific gravity of metal = density of metal / density of water

If we multiply the numerator and denominator of above formula by 'g' we get specific gravity of metal = specific weight of metal / specific weight of water

From this equation specific weight of metal = 6.64 * 62.4 = 399.6 lb/ft3
