One of the advertisements is regarding a brand new sports car
that is available for sale on road to the customers. The ad is
specifically meant for male customers and has a beautiful lady
touching the car grabbing attraction wearing cloth in attractive
color. The features are boldly highlighted as pictures with little
words based on the assumption that men are well aware of automobile
parts. If this ad was to be meant for the female audience, the
female model would be replaced by the male model and more highlight
would be given to the discounted price tag offer because the female
audience could be technically weak knowledge as compared to their
counterparts.
Another example is that of a skincare product that is advertised in
the form of a testimony. The testimony is verbal and has a female
candidate in it showing a before and after use experience of the
product. This would preferably grab the attention of the female
audience who are young and are targeted on them using the verbal
persuasive technique as well. If the skincare product was meant to
attract an older popular demographic for wrinkles, the technique
would be still verbal but testimony would be replaced by a
participant aged 50 or above.
