Answer #1

Part B)

2OH- + Cu2+ -----> Cu (OH)2

No of oxygen atom,no of copper atom,number of H atom is equal as well as charge is also equal.

Part C)

Cu (OH)2 +2H+ -----> Cu2+ +2 H2O

Here we know that the no of atoms are not equal in this case so we have to balance the ionic equation.

Cu (OH)2 + 2H+---> Cu2+ + H2O

So in first step add H2O in Right side to equal number of oxygen atom.

Cu (OH)2+ 2H+--->Cu2+ + H2O+H2O

Second we know that have to add H+ to balance the number of Hydrogen atom.

Cu (OH)2+ 2H+ ----> Cu2+ + 2H2O

Now this is the balanced equation

So in part D) put Cu (OH)2 + 2H+ in blank space

Part E)

Net ionic reaction is

Cu (OH)2 + 2OH- + 2H+ -----> Cu (OH)2 + 2H2O
