How does genic sex determination differ from chromosmal sex determination?

Temperature is the primary factor that influences sex determination in the genic system
Both systems of sex determination involve genes found on sex chromosomes that are distinct from the autosomal chromosomes
The genes responsible for sex determination are found on autosmal chromosomes in the genic system
The genes responsible for sex determination are found on special sex chromosomes in the genic system

Answer #1

How does genic sex determination differ from chromosmal sex determination?

ans: The genes responsible for sex determination are found on autosmal chromosomes in the genic system

The main difference is that in chromosomal sex determination the chromosmes of male and female looks different i.e(female:XX,male:XY) but in geneic sex determination all the chromosomes looks same.

Solve It: Does Sex Determination Have Only Two Possible Outcomes: Male or Female? One of the most fundamental aspects of personhood is your biological sex: "It's a girl" or "It's a boyl" is often the first statement about who you are. Most people view biological sex as a straightforward, eitherfor issue-either a person is biologically male or biologically female. Like all biological characteristics, however, sex determination is achieved through a developmental process. All developmental processes exhibit variation, and sex determination...

Name Sex-linked traits are genetic char segments of DNA found on chromosomes that Sex-Linked Traits Senetic characteristics determined by genes located on sex chromosomes. Genies are and on chromosomes that carry information for protein production and that are sponsible for the inheritance of specific traits Genes exist in alternative forms called alleics. or a trail is inherited from each parent Like traits originating from genes on autosomes (non-se chromosomes), sex-linked to omosomes), sex-linked traits are passed from parents to offspring...

The sex of an organism is typically determined genetically, but environmental factors can also play a role. Scientists examined the roles of genes and environmental temperature in the sex determination of a lizard species. Individuals with a ZW pair of chromosomes are always female (ZWf), while individuals with a ZZ pair of chromosomes can be either male (ZZm) or female (ZZf). Scientists mated ZWfor ZZf females with ZZm males and incubated the eggs produced in 20 clutches at temperatures ranging...
