6. Conifers ate considered As xerophytes because;

The leaves are needle shaped to reduce surface area of evaporation.

The presence of thick cuticle and Sunken stomata prevent water loss through epidermis.

8. Pine nuts are the edible seeds of Pinus. These are highly nutritious for humans.

9. The seeds are formed within the megasporophylls which are spirally arranged around the axis of the cone, these are formed in the female cone because of more protection.
