Willy Sung, the Sales Manager of Chance Insurance Company believes that goal setting is an effective way to improve performance of the sales teams. 2. David Lee, a fresh graduate who joined Chance Insurance Company for about four months. His workload is heavy and for most of the time, he is the last one to leave the office. He is having trouble sleeping at night. However, he does not aware that he is suffering from stress. As the colleague of David, you have more than ten years’ experience in the company, explain to David the possible consequences of stress (15 marks) and why people have different stress levels in a similar situation (20 marks).
The first question is not clear.
2) Possible consequences of stress -
As stress affects us all more or less, so everybody may have some consequences of stress. As an experienced employee, I may help David to understand the consequences of stress. One of the common symptoms is to have anxiety issues and feel frustrated even due to small issues. Employees may feel overwhelmed when they can't control their situations. As David is working hard he may not get time to be relaxed. Employees after bearing stress for a long time may feed depressed and may want to remain alone and become unsocial.
Every person has their own way of reacting in critical situations. So, responses are different and vary from individual to individual in stressor. As every person has different temperament and psychology, so stress level differs from individual to individual in similar situations. Such as when an individual has cool temperament and flexibility, he or she can handle a stressful situation well but it may not happen in case of a bad-tempered person whose stress level remains high even in small issues.
Hope this helps :)
