Compare client-server systems and peer-to-peer systems in terms of performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and any other feature you think is important.
Client-server system : this are most popular and widely used. in the client-server model, the clients and server differs, and separate server and clients are given. In the client-server system, the main server stores the data which helps to manage, because it's the main server, in this system the client replies to the server and respond to it, if something is requested by the client. in the client-server model the focus is on the data/infromation widely bordcasting/sharing. client-server model is costly and are more stable than peer to peer. basically the use of client-server system is for both small and large networks.
Peer to peer process : just like client server model, here it's not same, as peer to peer system dosen't differ clients and server system, where every junction is individually either client or server, in the peer to peer process, each and every junction can be requested and respond to the work. it basically aim for the connectivity, and each peer to peer process has it's separate data, which is there own. peer to peer system is les costly and is less stable than the client-server system, if the peer increase. basically peer to peer process is used for small networks, with less than 10 pc's.
Limitations: peer to peer process are less secure, when we compare it with the client-server model, beacuse security is upto individual pc's, and not for the whole network.

Assignment One program will be the update server and the other will be the update client. Here is how the two programs should interact with each other: Server 1. the server starts up and reads the version number in the data.bin file and stores it in memory. 2. The server binds to a port and awaits connections. Client 1. The client starts up and it will first read the version number found within it's own data.bin file. 2. The client...

One Management professor adopted a crossword puzzle exercise in his introductory management information systems (MIS) class, because he believes that the most important effects of engaging in a crossword exercise is the great workout it gives one’s brain—solving crossword puzzles requires several skills, such as spelling, reasoning, making inferences, evaluating choices, and drawing conclusions. That is, the exercise may enhance one’s ability to memorize words. He wants to know whether or not the crossword puzzle exercise can accelerate the learning...
Because performance improvement activities are information
intensive, organizations must provide the proper resources and
systems to support improvements. It’s important to recognize that
PI programs need to meet accreditation standards such as The Joint
Commission and Medicare and Medicaid Conditions of Participation,
which require access to national comparative data collections. This
assignment, based on a textbook case study, will help students to
understand Joint Commission information management standards by
analyzing how a scenario relates those standards.
