EXPLAIN THE 3 ESSENTIAL DILEMMAS OF COPING WITH HIDDEN DISAGREEMENTS IN TEAMS AND HOW THEY HAVE OR HAVE NOT WORKED MAKE THIS AN ORIGINAL NOT A COPYCAT ANSWER PLZ
The dilemmas in coping with the hidden disagreements in the teams are
It is to be noted that the disagreements are hidden. The disagreement is not in the open forum, and not even put forward. Assuming as a leader of a team, you sense something not in order, but the problem has not come to you. The dilemma here is to whether, the team leader has to take the lead and spell out to the team members, that he is sensing a disagreement within the team, or he has to keep quiet, since certain disagreements could be settled automatically over time.
The second dilemma is, by putting the hidden disagreement in open, it could cause an embarrassment to the person who is having a problem, and could feel hurt, since his issue is talked about in public. This could cause a division in the team, as some individuals in the team could be for and against the disagreement.
Finally, by not talking about the disagreement, it could spread to the entire team, and could affect the morale of the team members. This could affect the productivity of the team.
In my experience, if the leader of the team senses if there is something wrong in the team, it needs to be addressed immediately. The differences could be sorted out by having individual team meetings and also by having open discussions, depending on the disagreement. It is at times better to lose a team member for the betterment of the entire team, if a particular individual has a personal problem.
