For the several years the US economy has been running on the surplus in BOP . This has helped them to create the huge reserves on the basis of which they say that they are in a comfortable position to pay off the debts. A large portion of the US income comes from the treasury bills. The govt.has kept the rates low and the public is confident that the govt. will.pay them back.

Despite the heavy rise in the percentage of the deficit in the budgets during the phase of president Obama, the US is confident along with its public that it will pay off all its debts comfortably with its various policies.
