Strain WT, genotype MAT (alpha) trp1 ura3 gal2, grows happily on YPD because this is a rich medium. If we wanted to grow WT on minimal media that contained just some glucose, a nitrogen source and some trace elements, is there anything else we would need to add?

There is no need for additional nutrients since minimal medium supports the growth of yeast. Minimal medium is usually used to test the mating type (MAT) of yeast cells.
