a). It is a ODD parity because the parity bit is one so there are 3 one's expect the parity bit.

b). It is a EVEN parity because the parity bit (msb) is one so there are 4 one's except the parity bit.

c). It is a EVEN parity because the parity bit (msb) is one so there are 4 one's except the parity bit.

d). In this one there is no parity bit so we can simply count the number of one's. There are 4 one's so it is a EVEN parity.

e). In this one also no parity bit is given so we can count the number of one's. There are 6 one's so it is a EVEN parity.

Explanation:

For the questions with parity bit:

For question a, b and c they given parity bit which means we need to consider the most significant bit (msb) as the parity bit. Also we need to count the no of one's except the parity whether it is 0 or 1 just ignore it.
