Creating common ground with the audience is the key feature of a speaker. If any speaker fail to do so then he/she wouldn't be a good speaker. A good speaker should influence the view of audience towards certain subject related to the speaker's speech. Once the audience understand the speaker, they work with the common goal of the speaker. Speaker should introduce new approaches to the audience which makes the speaker different from other speakers.
Speaker should analyses the audience so that it becomes easy task for them to discover information about the audience so that the speaker effectively uses the information to build up common ground with audience.
Speaker should contact directly to the audience while delivering his speech and also asks relevant questions with the audience so that audience listen the speech effectively and with concentration.
