Types of salts:
Acidic salt: Strong acid reacts with weak base to form acidic
salt.
HCl + NH4OH ----> NH4Cl + H2O
Basic salt: strong base reacts with weak acid to form basic salt.
KOH + CH3-COOH ----> CH3-COOK + H2O
Neutral salt: strong acid reacts with string base
HCl + NaOH ----> NaCl + H2O
Weak acid reacts with weak base to form neutral salt.
CH3-COOH + NH4OH ---->CH3COONH4 + H2O
----
KCl + H2O -----> KOH (SB) + HCl (SA)
So the solution is nuetral
FeCl3 + 3 H2O -----> Fe(OH)3 (WB) + 3HCl (SA)
So the solution is acidic.
NaNO3 + H2O -----> NaOH (SB) + HNO3(SA)
So the solution is nuetral
CaCO3 + 2H2O ------> Ca(OH)2 (SB) + H2CO3(WA)
So the solution is basic
LiF + H2O -----> LiOH (SB) + HF(WA)
So the solution is basic
NH4Br + H2O ----> NH4OH(WB) + HBr(SA)
So the solution is Acidic
