I need some help with these questions. We often confuse "innovation" with technological "invention," but it's a different and multidimensional thing. What other dimensions of innovation can you imagine?
I think innovation is a dynamic term within which invention is a part of. Innovation is something to come up with in a creative manner. Making something useful, for example, out of the waste, is innovation. Revamping the old models of business with something new, is innovation. Therefore, improvisation or introduction of a product in a market, could be termed as Innovation. A technical invention, on the other side, is to create something new in a maiden way.
The various dimensions of innovation involves the processes such as Six Sigma in quality; the positioning such as change in the positioning of a product in some other newer market where it wasn’t marketed before; product such as improvising a soap to make it more comfortable to grab and improve avoidance with water contact with its surface from the bottom; or may be a complete paradigm shift.
