Each of the bacteria present in the pure colony can be isloated by the process of streaking.
More specifically quadrant streaking can prove to be useful in getting the single bacteria. In this process the loop is made to streak on the surface of agar with intermittent heating. Due to this a large number of bacteria are rubbed off till single organisms are obtained on the agar surface.
Hope it helps, Good luck

Describe the process by which you can isolate each of your bacteria in a pure colony.
An isolated colony represents a pure culture. one rare occasions , however , a colony can be a mixture of 2 different bacteria. name 2 ways this could happened
(a)You isolate a new pathogenic bacteria, from the sputum of a human patient, which you hypothesize was the cause of a severe respiratory infection. How could you use Koch’s postulates to prove your hypothesis? Which postulate would not be satisfied if the organism was a human-only pathogen? (b)What steps would you take to obtain a pure culture of the bacteria? What staining methods would you use to visualize the sample if you knew that the bacteria had a flagella? (c)...

Which of the following does NOT describe a colony? a visible growth on a streak plate an outcome on a successful streak plate used to develop a pure culture one kind of bacterium a mixture of microbes in an environment
You are studying the HIV Protease protein and you want to isolate it for study. Describe the steps that you would take to express the protein in bacteria and purify it for future study. Describe one other technique concerning protein analysis and what that technique would tell you about the protein.
You have three pure cultures of bacteria. One is Gram positive bacteria and the other two are Gram negative bacteria but you have mixed up the labels. You know that one of the Enteric bacteria can ferment glucose and produce ethanol and CO_2. The other can ferment glucose and produce lactic acid. Describe the general procedure you could perform to determine of the three cultures which one is which? A one gram sample of hamburger is diluted to 10^-4 in...
A colony of bacteria is growing in a petri dish which has a maximum capacity of 60mg. The mass of bacteria is increasing at a rate given by the logistic equation. Initially there is 2mg of bacteria and the rate of increase is img per day. Write down the logistic equation satisfied by the mass, m. m' = When will the mass of bacteria be 30mg? number of days What is the mass (in GRAMS) of bacteria 10 days after...
1. Vibrio bacteria are abundant in ocean and aquatic environments. Suppose you wish to isolate Vibrio- specific bacteriophages from seawater. You enrich your sample by spiking the seawater with growth medium and Vibrio fischer. You then isolate your phage and plate it on lawns of bacterial growth to enumerate how many PFUs/mL are in your sample. a. You set up a series of 10-fold phage dilutions out to a TDF of 10', and you plate each of those dilutions mixed...
Scenario: You are working in an industrial process laboratory and you are using pyridine in your synthetic reaction. After several attempts, you cannot get your reaction to work. You suspect that your labmate has contaminated your pyridine with aniline, a reagent they commonly work with. Explain how you can separate the mixture of pyridine and aniline to re-isolate pure pyridine. Include relevant physical data and the literature reference to support your explanation.
Question 4 1 pts Which is NOT an advantage of using bacteria for genetic studies? O Haploid genomes allow all mutations to be expressed directly. O Bacteria are of medical importance. Bacteria have small genomes. - None of the above O Asexual reproduction makes it easier to isolate genetically pure strains
