it is now wise to see F- distribution as just the ratio of two
random
variables the applications of this distribution is pretty
interesting, such as the testing of regression parameters in
multiple linear regression which has a huge importance in financial
market and modelling of say exchange rates and derivatives, where
we try to see if the exchange rate really depends on the
explanatory variables which are considered in the modelling,
Another application is in the testing of mean vector where the
student T-sq statistic is seen to be following an F-distribution
and the testing is done to check if the mean vector the application
of this can be seen in checking if the prices of a basket of goods
has changed or not. A very well known application of F-distribution
is testing the ratio of variances of two test statistic which are
testing the same hypothesis but we know a test statistic with a
lower variance is better the application of this method in real
world is seen more in quantitative research while checking for a a
easier way to estimate or test an important parameter such as
consumption ratio of GDP.
ANOVA is a very similar way for checking regression parameters but its application are limited to just that, here we see the difference in SSR sum of squared regression has significantly changed or not, or how much more variance is explained by the new variable.

Nail Polish My advertising plan for nail polish is advertising through face book and passing out flyers all over town. I play on starting out with as many as 50 customers to see how this go. It going to cost me about $3,000 dollars a year for all the expenses. Even People all over the world that is in the nail polish business give you a discount so you can see...
Why do we need time n when we calculate SSTR? In other words,
why n times (mean of a factor level - mean of
total)^2 Could you give me some intuitive explanation or
proof?
Here are my lecture notes.

A minimum of a paragraph (200 words) per response is expected for each question. 1. As the operations manager of a large company, analyze what the operations manager does and discuss how the operations side of the business operates. Describe how team dynamics impact performance. Provide specific examples of what operations managers do. 2. Use outside research to identify two current challenges faced in operations management and the strategies companies use to address those challenges. Suggest a third future challenge...
Question 1 As variation within groups decreases, what should happen to the F ratio, assuming no other changes to variation between groups? a) F doesn't change b) F becomes smaller c) F becomes larger Question 2 Charlie is testing the mean cuteness scores of a sample of dogs by groups. The groups are pugs, other small dogs, medium dogs, and large dogs (4 groups). We run the one-way ANOVA analysis, our DV is the cuteness scores and the IV is...
For Graded Discussion Forum #4, Variable Costing, everyone answers the same questions in 500 words or less. Post once (you won't see other posts until you make your post) and then respond to one other post. These questions (except for the image of the vignette) are formatted to casily copy-paste to your discussion post. 1) Ch 21 begins with a discussion of the differences between Absorption Costing and Variable Costing. Think back to the various methods we have worked with...
PLEASE HELP WITH A RESPONSE TO MY CLASSMATES DISCUSSION POST BELOW.... I DO NOT NEED ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS BELOW, JUST A RESPONSE TO HER POST LIKE AN OPINION ON HER ANSWERS........ THANK YOU! How to communicate an impending company-wide layoff Wide layoffs need a painstaking plan ahead of time in view of the fact that it will affect people’s lives especially their finances. 1) True or False? Carver Memorial Hospital's surgeons have a new procedure that they think will decrease the time to perform an appendectomy. A sample of 8 appendectomies using the old method had a sample mean of 38 minutes with a sample variance of 36 minutes, while a sample of 10 appendectomies using the experimental method had a sample mean of 29 minutes with a sample variance of 16 minutes. For a right-tailed test comparing two population means (assume equal...
PLEASE PROVIDE LONG RESPONSE WITH REFERENCES AND ALSO PLEASE POST NEW ANSWERS (DO NOT POST WHAT"VE BEEN POSTED HERE AND DO NOT COPY OTHER POSTS. IF YOU CAN'T POST A NEW ONE, KINDLY DISREGARD THIS, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, I NEED DIFFERENT RESPONSE) This essay should incorporate many of the concepts learned throughout the semester. Question 1 (6 points) Two college instructors are interested in whether or not there is any variation in the way they grade math exams. They each grade the same set of 10 exams. The first instructor's grades have a variance of 59.2. The second instructor's grades have a variance of 72.5. Test the claim that the first instructor's variance is smaller. (In most colleges, it is desirable for the variances of exam grades to be...
