Databases are the most important part of a running business or an application. Database stores all the important data for the business. So, there are several vendors who manufacture databases and sell those databases the clients. Moreover, these vendor companies also provide services regarding database as well.

• Oracle Database: This is the most widely preferred database available in the market and is being manufactured by Oracle. This database is usually used for commercial purposes. Since for any business, Oracle provides licence and the cost of oracle DB is nearly $17500. Oracle DBs are effective for storing huge amount of data present in the infrastructure.
• IBM DB2: This is another widely used database and various business implement this database in their infrastructure. IBM DB2 is effective for e-commerce platform where data keep changing frequently. It can run on various OS platform. The coat of IBM DB2 is nearly $6000.
• Microsoft SQL: This database is developed by Microsoft and is written on Linux, C and C++. This SQL database works on both windows and Linux OS. This database allow multiple user to login and work on. The cost of Microsoft SQL nearly $4000. This database is ideally used for small and medium sized applications.
