Answer #1

Upon ingestion of a food particle by a protozoan, the food particle is in a

b. PHAGOCYTIC VACUOLE

Protozoa ingest unicellular organisms and large particles as their food by the phenomenon of surrounding a food particle and engulfing the food particle by taking it into the cell in a vacuole, that is formed when the cell membrane bound or encircled the food by its flexible portion of the cell membrane is known as phagocytosis.
