Yes, it is genetic counselor's duty to inform about the availability of cystic fibrosis tests long before the courts impose it upon them. (page 31, first paragraph end). Hence the geneticists have every right to disclose the information regarding the genetic disorder to respective parents of the offspring and to make them to decide whether the parents should continue with the abnormal pregnancy. If not revealed about the genetic disorder and availability of diagnosing facility, it is an offence done by the genetic practitioners.
