Human Resources Industries
HR is the department or division of a business, corporation, or organisation that manages all aspects related to the personnel, including recruiting employees, training and career development overseeing compensation packages, managing benefits plans and other cultures that serve to maximise a company's business and its employees satisfaction with their jobs. Simply, HR industry is to produce competent personnel and to keep employees productive more than 80, 000 people work in HR & related fields today.
In HR, there are 5 employment types they are,
1.Permanent or fixed term employees
2.Casual employees
3.Apprentices or trainees-employees
4.Employment agency staff - also called labour hire
5.Contractors & sub contractors-hired staff
Consulting relationship building skill business orientation data crunching, ability to handle complexity crisis management, adaptability, understanding technology and strategic vision are skills that are needed now with the changing time.
Main challenges
1)Global perspective - Technological change current global era requires HR professionals of all industries to have a global perspective to cater the needs of managing resources in optimal way.
2)Culture of sharing & learning as a team - The members of the company must share & learn about the things.Then only they can successfully proceed the works.
3)Employees & knowledge retention - Maintaining low attritution rate is one of the major challenges between the employees.
4)Cross Functional Resource Balance - It is necessary for HR workers of those business that are operating across the globe to maintain a balance business the benefits given to workforces placed at different client locations & choose placed at main development centre of the company.
5)Protect resources from exploitation
A good projected job growth in HR is the employment of health care occupations is projected to grow is 18%from 2016-2026 much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.4 millions new jobs. Employment of IT occupation is projected to grow 13% from 2016 - 2026 faster than average for all occupations to add to 557100 new jobs. For next decade , Solar photovoltaic installers, Home health aides, Personal Centre aides, Phsycian assistant etc are growing.
Travel agents, cashiers, librarians, postal couriers, bank tellers, textile workers, print industry sports referees etc will doesn't appear in 2030.
Phsycian, pharmacy managers,, strategy manager, software architect, lawyer these careers makes lots of money.
Stressful jobs are hairstylist, audiologist, professor, jeweler,message therapist etc.
Standing out means that you are a cut above the rest. You outshines in a way that makes you stand out from others. When we stand out as a candidate,it helps lots. The main things to stand out is,
1)sell your soft skills-Organisations are looking for well founded employees with transferable skills.
2)Show enthusiasm - Engaged employees being more values to an organisation
