Introduction - Amazon is a company that needs no introduction but to talk about amazon we have so much to say. Amazon is an e-commerce operator who made globalization very much easy for mostly everyone. The main strategy which made Amazon what it is now would be the global strategy, because of the global strategy amazon was reached out to millions of customers. Amazon was started in the year 1995 and since then it has lot of ups and downs which made it a strong and reliable e-commerce operator in the world now.

History - We all knew that Amazon is the largest and biggest e-commerce operator, but very few of us knew that when it was started it was started only for selling books more or less like an online book store. Soon Bezos (CEO of Amazon) started observing the tastes and preferences of customers and started diversifying into everything that is demanded by the customers more. From then it started diversifying into selling DVD's, electronics and starting adding everything to their list and this made it as the largest e-commerce operator

Current - The current information about amazon that we need to know is that it is planning to enter into TV services and other ancillary services also, it is planning to enter into moto services and robotics also. There is no actual community restriction for amazon, ti servers everyone around the world with utmost faith and good service, yes there will be some problems but are negligible. It serves most of the population around the world, it has a huge customer base in Asia markets and US markets too. Amazon recruits only those people who are creative enough to bring the company to a success road, it doesn't usually care about the qualifications (in most of the interviews this was proved), they care about the knowledge and competency of the person.

Mission, Vision and Core Values - The guiding principles so the company involve serving the customer with all due possibilities, and customer centric service. The mission and vision of amazon is being and providing services with customer focus and customer centric than having comparing with the competitor and Vision is to be the world's most leading and biggest customer centric company.

Future - To discuss about goals of Amazon, with the recent interviews of Bezos, it made us clear that they not focusing on any of the short term goals and their main focus is on the long term goals. He also said that his management style i pretty much with the long term orientation. So the long term plans and goals of amazon as discussed above are entering into a new customer valued business of TV streaming, Providing deliveries mostly with drones and making majority of it's deliveries through drones and thus increasing the stakeholders wealth in the long term.

SWOT Analysis - The swot analysis includes the internal strengths, internal weaknesses of amazon along with the opportunities for strengthening their internal affairs and using such opportunities and strengths to mitigate the threats in the external environment.

Internal Factors - The strengths of the company include providing products with low cost when compared to the competitor and having more customer base, best and efficient type of supply chain.

The weaknesses include having no clear terms on the return policies, having less profit margin since they are selling products with a less profit margin when compared to the competitors

External Factors - The opportunities include having or getting a physical store or a presence, expansions or diversification into other services, growing the mobile commerce. Getting up their e-commerce service in the providence of Africa.

The threats include possible hacking issues, competitors getting together to beat Amazon, issues pending with the tax authorities now and then.

Recommendations - Amazon is a company that needs no recommendations, that's how Bezos had build his empire. But on a single note i would like to say Amazon should also concentrate on competitors at least once for finding out any suitable or possible positives that they can get inspirations from, due to the heavy competition Amazon should take a stand for finding out the best possible solutions for serving their customer better by getting some knowledge about their competitors.

Conclusion – On an ending note Amazon is the king of e-commerce since from 2000's. The main strategies the made Amazon what it was now are Global strategies, Diversification strategies, and most importantly Low Cost Leadership strategies and Best Cost provider leaderships. By the effective use of such strategies Amazon made its mark in most of the customers mind that it is the best website and reliable place where they can purchase whatever they want.
