Think about what you have learned about toxins, hormones, brain chemistry and the biological bases of personality. To what extent do these naturally occurring components alter someone's basic personality? How can that happen?
Toxins, hormones, brain chemistry play a role in biological
bases of personality. Each component contributes to development of
personality. Toxins effect the brain in many ways - it leads to
loss in memory or poor memory, encourages a person to be mentally
weak that he gets alcohol and drug addict, toxins change the
behavior of a person. Hormones play major role in developing one's
personality. Not all hormones make an effect on human body. But
they coordinate with many physical behavior of an individual.
These elements can alter someone's basic personality. Due to toxins in air, water a person may suffer from environmental diseases. Like carbon dioxide and nitrogen decreases oxygen level in air making it contaminated.
Talking about hormones, there are hormones which are linked with your mental health which gets hampered if the hormone levels drip. For example if progesterone levels drip it will lead to depression.

Question 3. About the European Debt Crisis. Do you think that it is over? What have we learned so far from it? Could something like this happen again and will countries be better prepared for it?
Now that you have learned a bit about how Amazon uses A/B tests, what do you think are some of the risks and challenges associated with performing so many hypothesis tests? What would you do to mitigate those risks? Think about the results of the tests. What were the effects? Look at the size of the effects. Were they small or large? Why were the sample sizes so large? Now that you have learned a bit about how Amazon uses...
Now that you have used Visual Studio and learned about the Visual Basic programming language, how do you feel about programming? Do you think that you will learn other programming languages in your chosen field? In response to your peers, explore each other's reactions to learning Visual Basic and Visual Studio. Find someone looking to pursue a similar field and discuss what other possible languages you may learn.
30)EXTRA CREDIT: Now that we have learned a bit more about non-human primates and evolutionary theory, I would like you to answer the following two questions: 1. What do you think really sets humans apart from other primates? 2. What do we still share with our primate relatives? (These can be biological or behavioral. Think back to our lecture slides about anatomy, social systems, adaptation and behavior)
how do you think gut microbes are able to alter mood, despite being guarded by the blood-brain barrier (allows nutrients in but keeps out pathogens)? You should use specific neuron transmission terminology that you learned about in the module, such as “neurotransmitters”, “neurotransmitter receptors”, and “sensory neurons.”
Given what you have learned about evolution, the classification of organisms, genetics, inheritance, DNA technology, the building blocks of life, chemistry, cells, and biology in general (OK basically everything you have learned thus far in this course), write a 1 paragraph response to the question below. Be sure to include concepts and terms from class in your responses. If you use outside sources, make sure you give them credit! To what extent are humans in a technological society exempt from...
As you have learned, an electromagnet is a magnet that is produced by electric current. Think about how electromagnets are used and what you have seen or heard of them being used for. In your initial discussion post, respond to the following: (Please answer ALL questions!) Which of the principles or laws discussed in this module explain how an electromagnet works? Describe in detail two modern applications of electromagnets. Do these electromagnets draw a large amount of current or a...
Think about what you have learned from Greenleaf's principles of servant leadership and the biblical foundations of servant leadership. Identify specific principles of servant leadership that demonstrate respect for multiculturalism and diversity within organizations and communities.
Think about the two types of monetary policy: expansionary and contractionary. Using what you have learned about open market operations, determine whether the noted actions below coincide with expansionary monetary policy or contractionary monetary policy. In a few sentences explain how. Action: Government securities are sold by the Fed. Expansionary Contractionary Action: The federal funds rate decreases. Expansionary Contractionary Action: The money supply increases. Expansionary contractionary
Given what you have learned about nutrition, the body’s need for macro- and micro-nutrients, the sources of those nutrients, and problems that come from nutrient deficiencies, how do you think nutrition and health differs between hunter-gatherer communities and agricultural communities? Then compare these pre-modern diets with our modern diet today. Which community do you think is overall healthiest, and which do you think has the worst health? (~300-500 words)
