Think about what you have learned about toxins, hormones, brain chemistry and the biological bases of personality. To what extent do these naturally occurring components alter someone's basic personality? How can that happen?

Toxins, hormones, brain chemistry play a role in biological bases of personality. Each component contributes to development of personality. Toxins effect the brain in many ways - it leads to loss in memory or poor memory, encourages a person to be mentally weak that he gets alcohol and drug addict, toxins change the behavior of a person. Hormones play major role in developing one's personality. Not all hormones make an effect on human body. But they coordinate with many physical behavior of an individual.
These elements can alter someone's basic personality. Due to toxins in air, water a person may suffer from environmental diseases. Like carbon dioxide and nitrogen decreases oxygen level in air making it contaminated.
Talking about hormones, there are hormones which are linked with your mental health which gets hampered if the hormone levels drip. For example if progesterone levels drip it will lead to depression.
