Effect of Soluble Impurities on the melting point :- Soluble impurities decreases melting point of the sample . It is because it gets dissolve in the sample and interacts with its atoms , which will decrease the strength of the lattice of sample , and thus decreases the melting point.
Insoluble Impurities :- These are those impurities which are insoluble in the sample , and gets separated when added to the sample , Examples are Charcoal, mud etc
Effect of Insoluble Impurities on the melting point :- Insoluble Impurities do not affect the melting point of the solution , as it gets separated from the sample, and thus do not interact with the atoms of the sample , thus the lattice of the sample will remain affected due to the insoluble impurities .
