my question for school to base off a ton of work was.... what is the age of a driver and do they text while driving. we had to ask 31 people and record the data. Out of 31 people all 31 people said yes they do text while driving. which means 100% of all asked people were texting and driving regularly. Now, the only thing that changes in particular with each person is their age. With just 31 different ages... ranging from age 30-36, and every answer being "yes" how would I calculate that into finding.....

a) A coefficient of variation?

b) percent of scores in one and two standard deviations of the mean?

c)z scores for the largest and smallest data?

d)Q1 and Q3 – give the position of each in the list—use the method the TI

e)scores required for both mild and extreme outliers—indicate if there are any

this question confuses me because I feel like I am just calculating ages and not actual data.... can anyone offer me some help/ advice? Thank you.

Hi.

Your data sample might be flawed or possibly everyone text while driving. Anyway, the data is all random variable are 1.

(If 0 means No and 1 means yes)

1. Coefficient of variation = 0 as there is no variance in data, so standard deviation is 0
2. All score lies at the mean of the data. So inside any standard deviation, percent of score is 100.
3. Z score is not defined in this case. For z to be defined, must be satisfied at least.
4. All are 1 as no variance in data. Q1=Q2=Q3=max=min=1
5. There are NO outlier.

Actually, there's nothing you could do with this data other than claiming all drivers text while driving. Hope you get why data is worthless basically. Given all drivers text while driving, you don't need the data itself of any sorts.
