Calculate the osomolarity of 0.5 g/mL of magnesium sulfate
heltahydrate (MgSO4*7H2O) MW= 246.47 g/mol
Calculate the osmolarity of 1 Liter of solution that contains
40mEq of sodium, 20 mEq of potassium, 60 mEq of chlorine and 5% w/v
of dextrose (mol way: 180 non-electrolyte).
My teacher gave me the answer but I didn't understand how they
got it. thank you.

How do I go about making a solution for lab that is supposed to be "2 mmol of MgSO4 in 40 mL of DMF." The formula weight of Magnesium Sulfate is 120.366g. Would the stoich be (120.366g/1mol)*(0.002mol/1L)*(1L/1000mL)*(40mL) = 0.009629g which would result in me putting 0.009629g of MgSO4 in the vial and then adding the 40mL of DMF to it? Will like and comment! Thanks
How many grams of magnesium sulfate are needed to make 250.0 mL of a 0.250 M solution? my response was a wrong answer 7.5 grams 0.250M *(250mL* 1L/1000mL)= 0.0625 0.0625* 120.4 g/mol (MgSO4)= 7.525 7.5 grams
Analyzing various samples of bottled water, tap water, and 0.01200 M MgSO4*7H2O. Given that we will be using EDTA of conversations 0.0100 M, a) What volume of the stock solution sample would you have to analyze if you wouldn’t want to spend more than 10 mL of the EDTA? b) Suppose you dilute your Mg+2 stock by measuring 10 mL in a graduated cylinder and using deionized water up to the 100 mL mark in a volumetric flask. What volume...
Write a balanced chemical equation for each reaction. MgSO4(s)+7H2O(l) -> magnesium sulfate bubbles &produces heat when it comes in contact with distilled water. P2O5(s)+ H2O(l) -> diphosphorus pentoxide sizzled when came in contact with water, blue litmus turned red. H2O(l)+Ca(s) -> Calcium bubbles in the water, leaving a white powder at the bottom of the beaker. Mg(s)+H2O(l) -> Turns a light clear yellow (indicator) heat changes the color to blue, unheated turns the color to purple. 2HCL(aq)+Mg(s) -> H2(g) +...

Find the volumes in L of the 300 mM MgSO4 solution, 0.2 M NaH2PO4 and glycerol, that you would use to prepare 500 mL of 0.02 M phosphate buffer (pH 7.2), 0.5 M NaCl, 3 mM MgSO4, 1% glycerol (v/v)? (from pH table for sodium phosphate buffer at 25°C) pH 7.2 --> 28% monobasic, 72% dibasic.
