BENIGN TUMORS are those tumor that cannot grow or spread. They are usually non cancerous. After Removal of such tumors, they do not return. It is less harmfull until it is pressing on nearby tissues, nerves or blood vessels. They can occur in brain or in enclosed space. THEY can block channels.They also have the chance to transform into malignant by mutation. They are present at a place and grow very slowly. they do not secrete any substances.They have clear bondaries Exmples are Adenoma,fibroids, Hemangiomas

MALIGNANT TUMORS re cancerous. They grow uncontrollably and continue to grow and spread to other parts of the body called as metastasis.These cancer cells that move to other parts are same as the original ones,but has ability to grow in other parts.They can recur even after removal of tumor.They can secrete substances . Types of these cancer are- Carcinoma, Sarcoma and germ cell tumor, blastoma. Cells have abnormal chromosomes, and may be irregular in shape. They have large, dark, nuclei.
