A Global Leadership Competency or GLC model incorporates various skills or attributes which would help leaders to lead a team spread across various countries. These skills help the global leaders in managing their followers and incorporating their leadership skills to help the followers as well as organization. Let us discuss some of the required skills and how they help inc cross-cultural and international negotiations.

Skills to bring change, encouraging innovation, building a positive relationship with the various stakeholders and making ethical decisions helps the global leaders to successfully negotiate internationally by being ethical in decision-making, encouraging creative solutions to the problems being faced in the negotiation process as well as successfully maneuvering the argument by influencing the negotiators.

Interpersonal skills such as formation of team comprising of employees from different cultural backgrounds and good communication skills will help the leader in negotiating with the other party and help him in understanding the finer nuances of the other culture through a team which is well-equipped to deal with different cultures through the insights provided by the culturally diverse team members.
