List three possible sources of error in the experiment of (
Acid-Base Titrations ) which may contribute to error in the final
calculation of the molarity of your acid ..

Three sources of error in acid-base titration
1. We notice the colour change of the solution due to presence of indicator at the end point (one extra drop from buret added to solution in conical flask after equivalence point) and not at the equivalence point (when number of moles of acid=number of moles of base).
2. Parallax error: When we take the reading of solution in the buret from an angle rather than looking straight at the lower meniscus in colourless solutions and upper meniscus in coloured solutions, this gives an error in the final calculation of the molarity of our acid.
3. Precision of the buret: Some burets may be less precise than others in giving the correct reading. This increases the uncertainty in measurement of volume of titrant used.

Give possible sources of error that may have caused a discrepancy in your percent yield (try to be as specific as possible) - Dura form of heat.
[Grade 12 Physics: Experiment in Phyiscs] A question about sources of error - Help! You want to calculate the area of a specific paper. Discuss in detail the following points: Which measuring instrument you use How to do the calculation Accuracy Source of errors Give a concrete example. My answer: I would use a ruler to measure both the base and the height of the paper as the ruler shows millimeters and centimeters and is a suitable tool for measuring...
Calculate Moles of NaOH dispensed in three titrations with volumes 9.05 mL, 9.10 mL, 9.02 mL and molarity of NaOH at 0.1 M. Please show full work so I can understand where every calculation came from.
a) You perform three titrations of sodium carbonate with hydorchloric acid. Below is a table with the data from the titrations. Calculate the average molarity of HCl. Calculate the standard deviation and use that to report the correct number of significant figures in your molarity. final vol (mL) mass Na2CO3 (g) 37.25 0.1088 39.77 0.1166 36.54 0.1001 b) You weight out 0.3273 g of soda ash containing an unknown amount of sodium carbonate. You use 27.39 mL of HCl to...
Acid / Base Titrations: Pre-Laboratory Assignment 1. Give at least two characteristics desirable in a primary standard. 2. Define equivalence point and ritration and point. Do these two points in a titration occur when the same volume of titrant has been added? Explain 3. A student standardized a NaOH solution using KHC.H.O.. Three different KHC&H.O. samples were dissolved in water and titrated with the same NaOH solution, each to a phenolphthalein end point. The pertinent reaction is: KHC H404 aq)...
