What changes in climate occur on moving from the equator toward the Poles? Which two aspects of weather determine the type of biome found at any location?

If we move from equator to poles the temperature falls.
It is so because at the equator the sunlight falls at a perpendicular angle. Making equator hotter while the polar regions are colder.
Also, the tilt of the axis of earth causes the difference. This tilted axis is responsible for preventing the sunlight on the poles and lower temperature on the poles.
The two aspects of weather that determine the type of biome found at any location are:
- Range of temperatures
- Level of precipitation (ie., rainfall/snowfall).
If a person knows these both aspects one can predict the type of biome of that particular area.
