What changes in climate occur on moving from the equator toward the Poles? Which two aspects of weather determine the type of biome found at any location?
If we move from equator to poles the temperature falls.
It is so because at the equator the sunlight falls at a perpendicular angle. Making equator hotter while the polar regions are colder.
Also, the tilt of the axis of earth causes the difference. This tilted axis is responsible for preventing the sunlight on the poles and lower temperature on the poles.
The two aspects of weather that determine the type of biome found at any location are:
If a person knows these both aspects one can predict the type of biome of that particular area.

59. Which of the following is likely to occur as a result of climate change? a. Insect vectors will migrate from tropical regions to once-temperate regions. b. Gastrointestinal infections will decrease in tropical regions. c. Microbes currently found in temperate regions will move to tropical regions. d. Extreme weather will decrease and diseases will become less seasonal.
Name two physiological changes that occur in the muscle due to exercise training which allow an individual to improve their fitness (VO2max)? Why do these changes result in a change in overall fitness? Does max HR change with training? Are there any cardiac adaptations to long-term exercise training?
Two objects of masses m and 4m are moving toward each other along the x-axis with the same initial speed v0 = 460 m/s. The object with mass m is traveling to the left, and the object with mass 4m is traveling to the right. They undergo an elastic glancing collision such that m is moving downward after the collision at a right angle from its initial direction. (a) Find the final speeds of the two objects. m = _________...
Two particles with masses m and 5m are moving toward each other along the x axis with the same initial speeds vi. Particle m is traveling to the left, while particle 5m is traveling to the right. They undergo an elastic, glancing collision such that particle m is moving in the negative y direction after the collision at a right angle from its initial direction. (a) Find the final speeds of the two particles in terms of vi. particle m:...

Problem 9-42A
Wood Inc. manufactures wood poles. Wood has two responsibility
centres, harvesting and sawing, which are both evaluated as profit
centres. The harvesting division does all the harvesting operations
and transfers logs to the sawing division, which converts the wood
into poles for external clients. When operating at full capacity,
the sawing division can convert 12,300 poles. Management is
considering replacing this type of wood pole with another type of
wood pole that can be sold at a lower...
3. To determine the nature and extent to which neurobehavioral changes occur in association with the toxicity resulting from exposure to excess dietary iron (Fe), Sobotka et al. 2015 used weanling Sprague- Dawley rats as experimental subjects. The researchers assigned the animals to one of five diets differentiated on the basis of the amount of Fe present: 4 ppm, 35 ppm, 350 ppm, 3500 ppm, and 10,000 ppm. Two randomly selected rats were obtained from each of three laboratories (selected...
