What is the best reason that you have found to support physician-assisted suicide? Please explain your reasoning for considering this the best reason.

Physician Assisted Suicide or PAS; is a process in which a physician facilitates a patient's death. In this act, a physician may provide sleeping pills and also informs about the lethal dose. He also aware that the patient may commit suicide under the influence of strong medicines.

It is a deliberate action. Here the main intention remains ending of life of the sufferer. It is being provided for getting relief from intractable sufferings. It is a voluntary process. Many people provide arguments against this practice.

They say that a doctor is a healer and such actions are against the morality and humanity. Here we have to understand that a person undergoing such painful experiences suffers from extreme pain and confusion. Physical pain remains stranded always along with the mental pain side by side.

There also remains the state of confusion and mental dilemma. Such painful experiences not only test the strength of a patient but also causes the financial crisis of those who are depending on patient. Dependent also feel the additional pain.

All these increases the agony of many people. If a person is assured about the end of his/her life then PAS only shortens the period of ending of painful phase. If the fate is known then there is no benefit in enlarging the agony period without any reason.

It is not an easy decision to make. Strong mental conditions are required for taking such a bold step. Concept of reality should be considered along with the terminology of humanity and morality.
