How do corporate values and ethical conduct impact employee motivation from an HR perspective in your current organization or one that interests you and/or you would like to work for?
Answer
In my current organisation, corporate values and ethical conduct plays significant role in keeping the employees motivated, and workplace harmony. As I work for an education related organisation, which provides online MBA degrees to the candidate, and help them learn from a distance, through online. I believe that ethical values and corporate values helps in bringing effectiveness. Corporate values such as respect to every members, fair treatment, offering good service and products to the society and uplifting the society through enhancing the education and skills of youngsters and under graduated candidates. The workplace embrace safe and healthy environment, with diversity management all the members respect each other and understand each other. Fair pay policy and high benefits keeps the employees happy and make them committed to their work. Training programs to develop skills and career planning also helps to keep the employees secured, and helping them when they need as well as providing counseling to serve the clients better keeps their confidence and morale high.
From an human resources perspective, ethical values and corporate values builds a strong workforce. And keep them engaged to their work and organisation. As in my organisation, the HR personnel consider every member important and show concern for them. There is strict policy and procedures to be followed for keeping the discrimination and unethical behaviour out of firm. Easy and effective reporting system and free flow of communication provide great support in bringing such conducts into light which are alleviating the policies. Thus keeping the high ethical conduct and making the organisation and corporate citizen.
