Which terminology used do you prefer? Both terms are used interchangeably by various medical and psychological institutions, I'm simply asking you to consider preference and explain why.

Mental Illness or Mental Disorder
Ex) Larry has been diagnosed with the mental illness, depression. OR Larry has been diagnosed with the mental disorder, depression.
How you will be graded:

(2 pts) Provide support: facts, examples, experiences, feelings, questions....etc.
(1 pt) Cite 2 resources used
(1 pt) Respond to at least 1 classmate (with substance)

Mental illness is more correct terminology because it includes all mental health disorders which affect mood,behavior and thinking of an individual.Depression is also a mental illness.
