Projects Take longer than you think

Being able to complete a project on time is a very important thing because a project isn't going to be producing any profit till it is complete. You wouldn't drive you car on an incomplete bridge so in many cases even when dealing with software if the project isn't complete then the launch should be held back. We see large companies launch things before they are ready for example Google just launched a game streaming platform that was not ready when it launched and they received very poor feed back. The only reason they are surviving is because they are Google.

Absolutely. It is essential that the projects are completed on-time to be profitable and to achieve its purpose (such as process or business improvements). Effective time management increases the productivity of the project team thus delivering projects to meet client expectations. I totally agree with the concept that if the project is not completed, then it needs to be held back. This is because the project’s objective would not be met. As mentioned in the example, Google’s incomplete project resulted only in negative feedback. Another classic example is the Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) in Germany. This project is still delayed after nine years due to many planning failures which also includes safety issues. In this case, if the airport was opened before the project was completed, then it would result in compromising on the safety of the employees and the public. If the project was opened before the scheduled date, then there might be great life-threatening losses.

The project management is highly productive and efficient when the project is management on-time at the same time unfinished products are not released if the project is delayed. In other words, unfinished or incomplete projects will not meet the requirements of the client nor the potential customers. It would only lead to great failures.
