Research the concept of "Value" in the B2B context. Note that we are not talking about "Values" which are moral and ethical orientations but value as in "Value Chain" or "Value-in-use" or, as the article under this weeks module, "Shared Value". Topics may include how value is created and how it is measured.
How value is created and how it is measured in B2B markets:
B2B markets differ from the B2C markets in terms of the needs of value. B2B customers are more interested in the value creation as it gives them an edge or success in their current business. These customers define value in the form of simplicity, convenience, and integration. The B2B customers consider the value on the basis of early response time, services, quality, price and results in a shorter period of time.
The value for B2B customers can be created by providing the products at a lower price, providing the service in terms of demonstration of products or enhanced products, negotiating with right people and selling the results over features. B2B customers rely on innovative products and its use to increase their revenue.
Value can be measured using traditional metrics like revenue, quality, productivity, and throughput. Apart from that, the value can be measured by analyzing whether actions are meeting the commitments done to the customers, and whether it matters to the customers or not.

When we talk about whether there is prosperity or not, we are generally talking about the amount of the gross domestic product that goes to each person. Standard of living, meanwhile, refers to the extent to which the economy in a region enables the production of and purchase of goods and services. The financial system, meanwhile, is the group of institutions dealing with savings and borrowing of money, made up of financial markets and financial intermediaries. The stock and bond...

Political culture. It is important to have a clear understanding of political culture if we are going to understand what our political vision should be and what the role of government should play in helping to realize this vision. The chapter reading introduces you to the different (though also related) political ideologies (liberalism, libertarianism and conservatism) that help form American's way of thinking about politics and government. While these core ideologies share some similar general concerns, there are also key...
Write a reflective paragraph summarizing your thoughts. Organizational change research has been criticized for neglecting the role of history in the study of change (Pettigrew et al., 2001). Much of the existing research tends to treat organizational change as “episodic” and comprising of independent events (Pettigrew, 1987, p. 655). More generally, research in organizational behavior has tended to ignore the theoretical and methodological significance of context in the examination of work attitudes and outcomes (Johns, 2006). In the studies reported...
SOCIAL IDENTITY Most of us prefer to be viewed as individuals and not placed in social categories or be typecast by others. We do not appreciate people making assumptions about who we are, particularly based on our appearance. This is part of what is so pernicious about racism: It stems from a social construction of race, a system of categorizing and generalizing about people based on physical characteristics and the alleged deeper meanings. We consider this concept in greater detail...
In the lectures about lists we have seen some Python code examples that involve the processing of lists containing weather statistics. The original source of the values shown in the slides was taken from part of the Environment Canada website that serves up historical data: http://climate.weather.gc.ca/historical_data/search_historic_data_e.html Data can be provied by that website using the Comma Separated Value (CSV) format which is stored in text files normally using a CSV suffix. We will not work directly with such files in...
I need your thoughts about this article. Pew Research recently reported that “roughly six-in-ten U.S. adults say they do not think it is possible to go through daily life without having data collected about them by companies or the government.” Andrew Hawn, my former colleague and now founder of MetaForesight, is a technology, media and content expert. Andrew has been collaborating with my analytic startup, Metametrix, and we recently spoke about privacy and its far-reaching implications. “We’re seeing a social...
