Just as we look to identify and train good managers, we need to do the same for employees. Talented employees are hard to come by and therefore, identifying and developing them should be the basic goal of any company's mangament. There are a number of ways to cater to employee engagement but the most immediate ones would be either monetary benefits and compensation or the opportunity to grow. We can therefore include better benefits in our compensation plans and match the job to the correct individual. This would provide them with the right amount of stimulation and help them challenge themselves and grow and as a result get better satisfaction from virtually the same job positions. It has a lot to do with better recruitment and therefore, it should be the sole focus of the HRM. Matching the jobs to the coorect individuals would reduce the cost it would take to train them that can be used as benefits without incurring additional costs and get talented employees from the get go. A happy employee is an engaged employee.
