How do you do an X & Y scatter plot when you have one X value and one Y value. Im trying to create a graph that shows the x-axis (&x-value) in blue dots and on the Y-axis (y-value) in orange dots only problem the graph does not come out correctly and in the series section I leave the Y-value blank for the X-value and vice versa. When I use the Y & X value together when creating the x&y scatter plot the graph does come out correctly but there both in blue dots so i can not obtain a separate y=mx+b and R2 value.
13. You are given the following regression equation for a scatter plot which The displays data for x = Weight of Car (in pounds) and y = Miles per Gallon in City: y = −0.006x + 42.825 r2 = 0.7496 (Note: The scatter plot graph is attached to the Canvas assignment as a separate document.) (a) Find the value of r based on the information given. (b) Based on your value of r, what conclusion can you make about the...
The table gives Distance X from the lake in miles, and Snowfall Y in inches for seven weather stations. Case X-MX Y-My (X-Mx )(Y-My) (X-Mx)? Name variables as Distance and Snowfall respectively. Go to Graphs-Legacy Dialogs-Scatter/Dot-Simple Scatter-Define. In...
If you have a scatter plot graph and it reads moderate positive correlation is r=0.5 When you look at the r value how is that represented on the scatter plot?
You are given the following regression equation for a scatter plot which The displays data for X= weight of car (in pounds) and y= Miles per gallon in City: Equation: y=-0.006x + 42.825 and r2= 0.7496. a. find the value of r2 based on the information given. b. Based on your value of r, what conclusion can you make about the correlation of this data? c. What does the value of r2 tell you about the regression? d. Use the...
You are given the following regression equation for a scatter plot which The displays data Weight of Car (in pounds) and y = Miles per Gallon in City: for x = y = -0.006.0 + 42.825 p2 = 0.7496 (Note: The scatter plot graph is attached to the Canvas assignment as a separate document.) (a) Find the value of r based on the information given. (b) Based on your value of r, what conclusion can you make about the correlation...
If you were to look at 2 graphs, and one had a linear plot and the other was a bit more scattered, what does the fact that the graph is linear say about the acceleration of an object compared to the other? Comparing the 2 graphs, they both have the same y axis in meters except different t in seconds on the x axis- one of the graphs has normal t values, and the other graph is the exact same...
Just need question 2a-e answered. Thanks!
1. Explore the data: create a scatterplot. 1a. Type the data
into a blank SPSS spreadsheet. Name variables as Distance and
Snowfall respectively. Go to Graphs-Legacy
Dialogs-Scatter/Dot-Simple Scatter-Define. In the window that
follows, select Distance into X axis and Snowfall into Y axis.
Click on OK. 1b.Double click on the scatter plot to activate it.
Double click on the horizontal axis and select the Scale tab. At
Auto, uncheck all boxes. At Custom, set...
Instructions for Excel
a) Using the data in the file (i.e., the values of Y and values
of X), create a scatter plot with the variable Y plotted vertically
and the variable X plotted horizontally. You are to add a
trendline, the equation of the line and R2 to this scatter plot.
You do not need to add a title to this plot.
b) Run the ‘Regression’ analysis tool (found under DATA/Data
Analysis). The output using this tool should result...
