a) Diacyl phospholipids are made up of a modified glycerol and two fatty acid chains. These two building blocks are linked to glycerol by ester bonds.

An ester bond is a bond formed by the reaction between a hydroxyl group (OH) and a carboxyl(COOH) group. Here Hydroxyl group comes from glycerol and carboxyl group comes from the fatty acids.

b)  b) One class of proteins is called enzymes. The enzymes catalyze specific chemical reactions. During a reaction the enzyme (circle best response)  is not consumed.

A catalyst is a molecule which speeds up a reaction and it will not get consumed in the reaction.
