The policies and procedures at several organizations surrounding either cloud computing or VPNs are as follows:-
With the advent of cloud computing and VPN's the world has become a much smaller place and it has become more easy to catch the world in our hand.It has improved the cost efficiency and maintainability. It has made the processes more agile and adaptive. As we know everything has a boon as well as a bane they too have their disadvantages and thus policies and procedures come into place while using or maintaining them.
There are four delivery models in cloud:-
(i) Private cloud in which the services are provided only for a particular organization and is not available to the public.
(ii) Public cloud in which services are available to the public and where open source projects are mostly developed.
(iii) Community cloud in which the services are shared by multiple organizations for a specific purpose or those sharing common interests
iv) Hybrid cloud which is a combination of two or more of the cloud delivery types discussed above.
There are 3 basic types of cloud services delivery model:-
Software as a Service (SaaS): As the name specifies with the advent of cloud computing the applications are being able to be delivered to multiple users at a time just as a service. The instances of the application can be used by multiple people at multiple location thus reducing the efforts by the consumers and also results in cost efficiency as the client needs to publish it at only one host .Here the customer does not invest in the application he only needs the service on demand and pays for that.
Platform as a Service (PaaS): In this type of model an software package or else an environment is provided to the customer on top of which he can design and deploy applications according his or her own specification. It provides a base(platform) for the construction of the application. In this model, a layer of software or development environment is encapsulated and offered as a service, upon which other higher levels of service are built.
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): This model provides storage and manageable capability to the customer. An application built needs to be on cloud for usage of more number of other consumers and thus a service is needed that is provided by this service.
But as it has many disadvanatges such as:-
VM attacks, personal abuse, data theft, phishing of bank accounts, social networking attacks, misuse of data for money,
The policies these companies are following are:-
1)Information centric security i.e protecting data from within or internal protection.
2)Privacy enhanced intelligence.
3)Digital Signatures
4)Encryption
5)authentication and Identity management
6)Updating according to the latest tedchnology.
7)Hardware capability improvements.
The controversy surrounding companies that want to provide these services commercially for certain popular application are as follows:-
1)The reported cases for data theft and data leakage have been increasing.
2)These help to develop and deloy the applications quickly but at the cost of control and maintainence.
3)Using data for undue advantages.
4)Compliance
5)Lack of performance.

Andersen: An Obstruction of Justice? PROBLEM Students may be familiar with Arthur Andersen, the CPA firm that failed to detect fraudulent financial activities in the audits of several companies including Sunbeam, Waste Management, Enron, andWorldCom. Many articles and papers have been written about the quality of these audits and how increasing the firm’s revenues from both audit and nonaudit services may have supplanted audit quality as the main objective of Andersen as a firm. However, we should not lose sight...
Please read the article and answer about questions. You and the Law Business and law are inseparable. For B-Money, the two predictably merged when he was negotiat- ing a deal for his tracks.
