Discuss the concept of data-driven and model-driven DSS. Illustrate your answer both by discussion of long established examples of these classes of system and by discussion of the role of newer developments such as Business Intelligence.
What are Data-driven DSS?
Typical questions answered by a data-driven DSS:

This also explains the two sub-types of data-driven
DSS:Such questions can be answered by a data-driven DSS.
Data-driven DSSs help prepare decisions by showing
developments in the past and by identifying relations or
patterns.
The aim of data-driven DSS is to give the user a simple access to large amounts of data from various sources (both internal and external) on which he or she can run real-time queries. A data-driven DSS helps to transform large data sets into meaningful, easy to read business information.
Even if a data-driven DSS has models, they are in general very simple and only used to compute information like averages or totals.
What are Model-driven Decision-Support Systems?
Typical questions answered by a model-driven DSS:

By interacting with a model-driven DSS, the user primarily
accesses and manipulates a model like statistical, financial,
optimization , or simulation
models. The model allows the user to perform primarily
mathematical analysis on both internal and external data.
But in general, a model-driven DSS doesn’t need large
amounts of data.Such questions can be answered by a
model-driven DSS. It helps to understand the impact of
decisions on organizations.
A model-driven DSS is primarily used to analyze a situation with a well-defined and structured problem, where assumptions on causalities can be assessed. Mostly a model-driven DSS is used for what-if-analysis.

Describe how DSS(Decision Support System) can illustrate the tenets of decision making. That is, identify how systems can provide support in a manner that is prescribed by the decisions-making literature covered in this chapter. What changes would you make to an electronic book catalog system (such as you find in your library) to transform it into a good DSS. Describe the DSS you might provide to Sherlock Holmes. Be sure to describe all components of a DSS. Consider a company...
Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: Discuss the role of regression analysis in business by using examples of how these models might work to make predictions. In your discussion, consider the various components of the output and how it might be of value to understanding the data. both linear and nonlinear
Question 3 (a) Discuss probability, independence and mutual exclusivity, giving examples to illustrate your answer. (6) (b) i. How many ways are there of choosing a committee of three people from a club of ten? (2) ii. How many ways are there of selecting from those three people a president, secretary and treasurer? (2) iii. Illustrate your answer to the second part of the question with a tree diagram. (2)
1.Discuss the use of ATP as the energy currency of the cell (include in your discussion the types of work performed by the cell) 2. Discuss ATP synthesis and ATP hydrolysis; How do cells obtain the energy to synthesize ATP? Why do cells hydrolyze ATP? What do cells do with released energy obtained from the hydrolysis of ATP? 3. Discuss oxidation & reduction and the role of electron transfer in ATP synthesis • discuss the role of NAD+ and FAD...
research the various phases of SDLC. and answer the following discussion question Part 2 Often, the benefits of a project are not as obvious as its costs. Assume that you were the project sponsor for a system that has very clear costs but unclear benefits, yet you believe in the project. Discuss what techniques you would employ to have your organization approve the project. Provide examples to help illustrate your viewpoints.
Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Answer both parts of the question. Outline what is meant by the ‘Cost-Responsiveness Efficient Frontier’, and explain using examples how the concept can help a company decide the appropriate supply chain to achieve strategic fit. (15 marks) “Once a company has identified the optimum position on the Cost-Responsiveness Efficient Frontier’ and established the appropriate supply chain, they will be guaranteed competitive advantage in the long term.” Critically discuss with reference to specific organisations or supply...

research the following: Data modeling Benefits of SQL for application processing Based on your research and understanding, complete the following discussions: Discuss the benefits of views. Examine how views can affect database usability by considering both positive and negative aspects. Provide examples from business cases to support your response. Please fully answer the question in detail: Your textbook uses AD in both the Keynesian model and in the AS/AD model. In most other textbooks the authors use AE instead of AD in the Keynesian model. Explain why both AD and AE are equal to C + I + G + NX. Since both are equal to C + I + G + NX, in what ways are they different? Use graphs to illustrate. Will rate answer based on the...
Please answer the discussion question. Discuss a major concept that you learned in Introduction to Chemistry class? This is the discussion question how other students respond down below. Response 1 honestly, I believe the periodic table, and lewis structure will be stuck in my head for a long time. because when I had to do the drug study, I had to study more of it, especially the lewis structure. so I would say the major concept I learned in this...
