True/False: Tyrone is always on time for work and stays late whenever he is needed. Last week though, he was late three days and asked to leave early on two other days. When it was time to post the schedule for the next week, Marie, the manager, reduced Tyrone’s hours and when asked, she told him, “I just can’t count on you.” Marie has an availability bias.

The availability bias is the human tendency to consider those examples that come readily to our mind are more representative than the other case. It mentions that the things which are observed come to our mind much readily than the things which we hear.

As in this case, In the last week, Tyrone was late three days and asked to leave early on two other days. So the recent example of the last week comes to Marie's mind readily compared to the previous incidents. So Marie tend to remember only the last week's observations and thus reduced Tyrone's hours.This is a case of availability bias.

So the statement is True. Marie has an availability bias.
