The hearing range of a normal, healthy human without any prior hearing loss is in the range of :

e. 20-20,000 Hz

The sound below 20 Hz is called infrasound waves. And sound above 20KHz is called ultrasound waves. Many animals (like Dolphins) can hear sounds beyound normal human hearing range.

But this range changes over time either due to some hearing loss pertaining to some injury or ageing. So the range may decrease.
