What innovative approaches might a law enforcement agency use to assess and evaluate its own overall performance as an organization? A law enforcement agency can use the following ways to asses and evaluate its overall performance as an organization:

• Legal audit: A statutory auditing body can be developed to measure the legal standard of the overall performance of the organization. Proper auditing can be helpful find out performance-related flaws and the areas which are continually failing to meet the legal standard.  

• 360-degree performance evaluation metric: The authorized agencies should use performance evaluation metrics to analyze and assess the performance of an organization. It includes sales performance, marketing performance, financial performance and judicial performance.

• Establishing a legal body for the organizations: A statutory authority should be developed in each of the organizations which are concerned about the standard of judicial performance. Moreover, it can help the organization to improve the ethical structure.

If I was a law enforcing manager deciding whether to promote an officer the criteria I will concern the following factors to make decision

• The officer should be responsible for monitoring the legal standard of the performance of all the departments of the organization

• The officer should arrange a training session with the leaders of each department every week to train them about the importance of maintaining legal aspects in daily activities. Moreover, the officer will keep informing about the updated standard of organizational ethics.
