On comparison at a molar level, Tryptophan(Trp) molecule absorbs more light at 280nm, than either of Tyrosine(Tyr) and Phenylalanine(Phe) molecules. The first protein thus, shows the highest absorbance values at 280 nm, due to the presence of two Trp moieties. The second protein bears a Tyr and a Phe moeity, thereby, showing lesser absorbance than the former protein.
