Identifying the risk at this stage shall not actually help in curbing the lagging in schedule neither would adding the event to the risk register help. So alternatively, it is recommended to report the variance as an issue and check for possible solutions such as Crashing in the project wherein additional resources could be added in the critical path to cover the lag in the schedule to some extent.
