Answer:
Prob ( getting 1 or 6 ) on a 6 sided dice = 2/6 = 1/3
Now when the die is rolled 9 times, we choose 7 rolls out of these
=> 9C7
Now in the remaining rolls we have to get other numbers than 1 ir 6 => 4/6 = 2/3
Hence the total probability
=> 9C7 * (1/3)7* (2/3) * (2/3)
= 0.01646 * 4/9
= 0.0077316 or 144/19683

What is the probability that a fair six-sided die rolled five times comes up 6 exactly once?
a) If a single six-sided die is rolled five times, what is the probability that a 6 is thrown exactly three times? b) A person receives an average of one e-mail message per half-hour interval. Assume that e-mails are received randomly in time, find the probabilities that in a particular hour 0,1,2,3,4,5 messages are received.
A six-sided die is to be rolled three times. Assume the rolls are independent and that the die is fair. - The probability that all three rolls result in an even number is: A) 1.0 B) 0.75 C) 0.25 D) 0.125 - The probability that at least one of the rolls is an even number is: A) 0.125 B) 0.333 C) 0.750 D) 0.875 - The events A = exactly two of the rolls are even and B = exactly...
6. A fair six sided die is rolled three times. Find the probability that () all three rolls are either 5 or 6 (6) all three rolls are even (c) no rolls are 5 (d) at least one roll is 5 (e) the first roll is 3, the second roll is 5 and the third roll is even
A six-sided die is rolled 500 times. Use the CLT to approximate the probability that the sum of the rolls exceeds 1800.You’ll need to know the expectation (μ) & variance (σ2) of a single roll.
6. A six sided balanced die is rolled 30 times. The uppermost face is observed on each roll. A. Find the probability that each of the six sides shows up exactly five times. b. Find the probability that the die shows a 1 exactly five times and a 2 exactly 10 times.
A six-sided die is rolled and a coin is tossed. The probability of getting a tail on the coin and a 2 on the die is 8.3%. Is this an example of a theoretical or empirical probability? a. Theoretical b. Empirical
A fair 6-sided die rolled 5 times. what is the probability that at least one of the rolls is 2
Suppose I asked you to roll a fair six-sided die 6 times. You have already rolled the die for 5 times and six has not appeared ones. Assuming die rolls are independent, what is the probability that you would get a six in the next roll? 1/6 1/2 5/6 0 1
